Accessibility Statement
Last Updated 26th December 2025
Our Commitment
Hear 4 The Long Term (H4TLT) is committed to making its website and the Compliance Checker tool accessible to as many people as possible. We believe that everyone should be able to access information about hearing protection services, regardless of their abilities or the technology they use.
This statement applies to the H4TLT website and the Compliance Checker assessment tool. We are continuously working to improve accessibility and welcome feedback from users about how we can do better.
How We Design for Accessibility
Our website and Compliance Checker have been designed with accessibility in mind, using recognised accessibility principles as a guideline.
We aim to ensure that:
-
You can navigate the website and Compliance Checker using a keyboard alone, without needing a mouse
-
Colour is never used as the only way to convey important information
-
Text is displayed in readable fonts with sufficient contrast between text and background
-
The website can be zoomed in to make text larger without breaking the layout
-
Screen readers (software that reads web content aloud) can access most of the information on our site
-
Forms and interactive tools are clearly labelled and easy to understand
We have also worked to keep our language clear and straightforward throughout the site.
Known Limitations
We recognise that some parts of the website or Compliance Checker may not be fully accessible for all users. We are aware of potential limitations and are working to address them over time. If you encounter any accessibility barriers, please let us know so we can help.
Getting Help or Requesting Alternative Formats
If you have difficulty accessing any part of the website or Compliance Checker, or if you need information in a different format (such as large print, audio, or easy-read versions), please contact us via the contact details on this website. We will do our best to assist you and provide the information you need.
Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing priority for us. We regularly review our website and tools to identify and fix accessibility issues. We welcome feedback from all users about your experience and any suggestions for improvement.
Standards and Testing
Our website and Compliance Checker have been designed with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as a benchmark. However, we do not claim full or certified compliance with these guidelines. Accessibility is a continuous process, and we are committed to making ongoing improvements.
